Diploma Life Coaching

By considering a Diploma in Life coaching – you are looking at the industry recognised qualification for people wanting to be practitioner coaches.
We understand that selecting the correct programme is a difficult decision. There are a large and varied amount of choices  on the market and a slightly confusing  array of providers and accrediting bodies.

So it is important that the standards for both coach practitioners and training course providers are of a high ethical standard which should give greater peace of mind to those people looking to hire a coach or invest in their own coach training.

We are confident that our PSG Diploma in Life coaching contain all the key elements which in future will be seen as industry-wide best practice and satisfy the aspirations of the prospective coach.
The course covers the theoretical aspects of coach education and recognises that this is a vital aspect of learning to coach effectively but theory of itself does not produce a first class coach.

Life Coaching is a practical activity and any coach training worth its salt must be grounded in sound professional practice. This is why PSG devote so much attention to the practice/feedback model of coach development.
At each workshop you work in trios rotating around the roles of coach, coachee and observer. The feedback and learning from these sessions is often the most significant part of the programme for many where the ‘coalface’ type of approach includes :

  • Work-based Assignments  and Evidence Requirements
  • Breadth and depth of theoretical input as it relates to practical work
  • Intensive coach practise sessions with high quality feedback from course tutors
  • Requirement to build up supervised hours of coaching practise
  • Group supervision at workshops
  • Demonstration sessions from course tutors

So undoubtedly the Diploma in Life Coaching extensively covers the ‘on- the- job’ type experience that a practitioner is likely to meet on a day to day business whether in the area of private coaching but also in the internal business coaching environment.
All of the specialist subjects in the Diploma are mapped to professional coaching occupational standards – standards which have been developed in consultation with employers – thereby ensuring the PSG Diploma qualification is best placed to satisfy both the requirements of the business world as well as the private  practitioner.
