Life coaching course

Life coaching course: Are you thinking about enrolling in a life coaching course? Are you contemplating on how to advance a few rungs up the career ladder in your company? Or simply seeking a structured approach to changing your lifestyle in terms of what you want from life and how to go about it.
Well, there is a Diploma course that is being offered by an organisation called the Positive Success Group Scotland that offers just that in Glasgow.

One primary component of the life coaching course will be for participants to construct a self development plan regarding their personal goals.
There is a range of self development models we use whereby we analyse the ways that individuals soak up experiences and learn from them and we design the development process with regard to the clients learning preferences.

But the life coaching course will demonstrate that to consistently achieve personal goals we should harness the persons natural learning process and focus on getting what we want by structurally planning for the future — and then consciously making the things happen that are included in your plan.

The following range of activities could form part of your self-development plan

1.    Knowing your current self

2.    Self knowledge questionnaires

3.    Draw up a development agreement

4.    Development group motivation

How do we form a realistic self image of our current self? The best method is to ask. Ask 20 people who may be family, friends, peers, colleagues on how do they see you performing at present both in your personal life and your career.
Receive feedback from people who know us well but be fully prepared to be open-minded about what they say about us. Or alternatively we could use any one of the variety of psychometric questionnaires such as the Thomas International EI assessor to arrive at the key pointers.
Armed with the big messages from the feedback sources we are now in a position to develop a realistic self image with which best to progress personal aspirations.

The coach will assist in drawing up the development agreement with the student to systematically record their intentions for their own development.
But it is here that care should be taken to carefully identify potential obstacles or other things that may block the achievement of those initial goals. But it will be useful to adopt the following simple template for effective personal development to map your targets around:

Where have I been?

Where am I now?

Where do I want to be?

How shall I get there?

This kind of format provides an invaluable framework for a Voluntary self-exploration in that it works well in the reflective climate the life coaching course provides. But it’s important to be honest and take time to answer the questions your framework poses.
Development group discussions within the course will provide invaluable feedback and map out a commitment to action while at the same time increase the consequences of not achieving your goals.

The PSG Scotland life coaching course will help the student to approach his / her development in a disciplined fashion – providing structure to where their plan is taking them in terms of personal achievement. But take note to be continually positive and

Review each stage and learn the lessons from what has worked and what has not

Do not be afraid to be flexible and amend your SD plan in the light of lessons learned

Do not over analyse setbacks, learn from them and MOVE ON

With these disciplines in mind – the student should be able to successfully harness the positive parts of their own unique individual learning mode to achieve goals in their personal life and provide the impetus for a future of continuing success.
